Kushal Das reasserted the importance of I-League

Kushal Das, General Secretary of All India Football Federation (AIFF), has led optimum importance on the I-League as he called the most important tournament of the country. In a recent meeting he said that AIFF may plan to merge Indian Super League and I-League together so that India, like other countries, has one single league which can be stretched for months. Keeping the players’ fitness, compartmentalized schedule and tenacity in mind the merger will prove to be the best idea. Although nothing concrete has been decided as of now, it is important to keep the flexibility of the matches in mind.

In this regard, Das pulled the string which AIFF President Praful Patel has already mentioned calling I-League the principle league of the country. The primacy of this league has not reduced in any way and it is the only way that the national team can make a place in Asia and in the world. None can deny the fact that the dwindling FIFA Ranking of India will create an adverse impact on the team spirit and professionalism towards the game.

With the hope to improve the FIFA ranking of the Indian Team, Stephen Constantine has been recently selected the Head Coach of Senior Men’s National Team and also for the Under – 23 National Team. This is again a proud moment for India as Constantine comes with a brilliant record of coaching and it is due to his credit the Rwandan National Team has fetched a position of 68 in the FIFA Ranking. This is the second time Constantine becomes the coach of the Indian Team which, definitely, gives India an edge as he is already aware of the sensibilities, loopholes and approach of the team towards the game.

Constantine himself admitted that there are many areas which need attention and so they are to be improved. He is ready to beat all the challenges that may come in the way of Indian Team in their path of success. This Englishman has already appreciated Praful Patel profile as the AIFF President as he thinks Patel is the most indispensable cog in the AIFF machine. It is due to his approach Indian Team has gained a lot of professionalism and is being able to reach a position from where it can get an ample record of exposure and best practices for itself and its players.
