A stir of political activities before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections

The announcement of the election dates has already triggered changes within the parties. One such party being the Nationalist Congress Party that has a glutted political segment in several regions of Maharashtra. In Nasik, the Bhujbal clan, which is the most powerful political family in the district with Chhagan Bhujbal (MLA from Yeola) who is the district guardian minister, his son Pankaj, an MLA from Nandgaon and nephew Sameer, an MP, ensured that they showcased their idea of development to the citizens before the poll process began and the code of conduct came into force. NCP, for sure is vying for a political blitzkrieg in the local media. However, it is ensuring that the development work in certain areas meets its finality with the Bhumi Pujan programs. The latest of them all being the MTDC's Kalagram project. NCP Leader Praful Patel is doing his bit by conducting the Bhumi Pujan programs in several regions of Gondia and Bhandara. These programs generally concern the water projects that would facilitate activities like irrigation and farming to the farmers, in the best manner feasible. Recently, Praful Patel was present at regions like Dhapewada, Karazkheda and Bawanthadi, for the Bhumi Pujan of these irrigation sites. In addition, Nasik received its first water supply from the Gangapur dam apart from the inauguration of the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited airport at Ozar. This means that Nasik will now have two airports, including the Gandhinagar airport in the city, which is completely under the control of the Indian army.
AIFF President Praful Patel also mentioned that the new Ozar airport would also act as a parking area for airplanes. This would further help in decongesting the traffic at the airport. Regardless of the developments, Chhagan Bhujbal has been selected as the NCP’s aspirant from Nasik, instead of his nephew Sameer. To add to the tally, the nomination of Sameer had also created schism of two opponent factions. With the elections around the corner, the NCP would not want to take any chances, with its nominations. Besides, Bhujbal indeed is a highlighted name in the Nasik region and will certainly help the party’s cause, when it comes to the Lok Sabha polls. Patel, who renders services to his party from the Gondia and Bhandara constituencies, will face opponents Nana Patole from BJP and Prashant Mishra from AAP in this year’s elections, from the same region. It is highly likely that Patel might take the game away from his opponents without much hassle, when the others might be wanting to take a piece of the pie.
Praful Patel’s contributions towards his constituencies have been of much importance to these regions. Be it a social gathering on festivities or a developmental program, Patel has always been amongst his people. Probably, it is also the presence of Patel in these regions that enticed the crowd to such large social gatherings. Be it the Prerna diva, unveiling of new constructions or social drives such as blood camps, Patel has been to all of them. Least to say, it wouldn’t be surprising if this leader of the NCP party humbles his opponents by a huge margin of votes in the upcoming elections; something similar to what happened in the 2009 elections. Until the season of political hubbub reaches his country, the NCP party would be leaving no stone unturned, to ensure that the stage has been set for its victory, across several regions in India. We are still into the early days of drawing an inference on the results. Rather, we can wait until the mystery unfolds.
