AIFF gives tender notice for new I-League clubs

All India Football Federation on Friday has reissued a tender notice inviting bids for new clubs to be a part of I-League which is one of India’s premier club competitions for the 2014-2015 and onwards. Under this invitation to tender, the winning bidders will be sanctioned the right to own and operate a new club which will compete in I-League in each year from 2014 onwards. The invitation to tender contains all the particulars on the nature of the Bids which may be submitted and can be acquired on any working day at the All India Football Federation Headquarters, in Dwarka. 

But the scene is different in the present time as the upcoming Indian Super League (ISL) has been rescheduled to October due to some relevant reasons given by IMG – Reliance. It is due to this both the - and Federation Cup have also been delayed. ISL, presently, is the much awaited tournament that is to happen this year. ISL is presently the much hyped league which AIFF is hosting along with IMG – Reliance and Star. 

AIFF President Praful Patel thinks that this is going to be an outstanding platform and opportunity for Indian Football to flourish and also to get a strong commercial background. Another feather to the cap has been added to ISL as it forms a strategic partnership with much revered English Premier League (EPL). Patel had further confirmed that this partnership is going to create a formidable environment to infuse best practices and technical skills pertaining to the development of the sports team. 

With Praful Patel contributions, AIFF is taking giant strides by bringing in international tournaments in India. AIFF is also making the ground strong for the players by introducing various Grass Roots Program (GRP) and Youth Development Program (YDP) which have gained wide popularity all over the nation.
