Subrata Paul feels inspired by Arjuna Award

As one of the most successful goalkeepers from the Indian national team Subrata Paul has been conferred with the Arjuna Award.  It was a heartwarming moment for Paul as he received the award from none other than the Honourable President of India Mr. Pranab Mukherjee and later Prime Minister Narendra Modi also paid a visit to the awardees. Paul has been one of the most highly talked about goalkeepers from India often termed as the Spiderman for his acrobatic skills.

As the AIFF President Praful Patel has elevated Indian football to the height of success in the present era and trying to bring in the necessary changes.  Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has shown his keenness towards sports many a time tweeted from his personal Twitter account @narendramodi: "Ace footballer Subrata Paul & I had a good conversation. Congratulated this youngster & wished him the very best."

As per the version of Subrata Paul he sounded quite ecstatic. "It is not everyday that one gets to meet the Prime Minister of the Country. I was very moved by his gesture of meeting all the sportspersons."

He also added more corroborating Modi's passion towards sports, "He is a sports enthusiast and his encouragement motivated me further. I would like to thank him for all the encouraging words”

Under the Praful Patel biography, Indian football has progressed to great heights and provided the right impetus to the game in the country.
