The collaboration of All India Football Federation (AIFF) with Coca Cola is proving to be highly effective for the grassroots level program. The primary objective of the Coca Cola to spot the great potential in the young team and to scout them with the most professional training giving them the right impetus and direction to pitch in for a greater platform.
Under the leadership of AIFF President Praful Patel, football has become one of those sports which have gained wide viewership and a good percentage of audience attendance. Indian Super League (ISL) has played a remarkable role in putting Indian Football on the map. The effort which Coca Cola has taken with AIFF will help to structure and redefine the skills of Indian Team which will be taking part in 2017, FIFA Under -17 World Cup.
Praful Patel profile in designing the grassroots development program remains inimitable because it is helping the kids to take a professional approach. The Coca-Cola Cup initiated and it traces its roots back to 2008, when Coca-Cola India first organized their youth level championship across the country. In 2009, Coca-Cola decided to enter into collaboration with the AIFF to sponsor the previously held Sub Junior National Football Championship and transforming it into a large-scale national grassroots football tournament. This initiative was directed towards nurturing a more vibrant and a healthy sporting culture in the country and in turn widely promoting a more proactive sports culture in India.
