Youth Development is the key to success for Indian Football

FIFA-AIFF Academies have been established with the objective to produce international quality players who will be making a mark on a greater platform. It is essential to create a strong platform for the young players of growth with the right kind of training, infrastructure and health tips to grow and make it big on a greater level. The National Youth Development Programme has been designed to train and select the youth in order to form a team in the FIFA U-17 World Cup. Today resources are being redirected towards the development and rightful progress of the team to this magnanimous event.

AIFF President Praful Patel is himself taking initiative to take a professional look for the game. According to Blatter, Indian team is a ‘sleeping giant’ and it is now time that it is awakened. AIFF is working with the focus with the objective of establishing more academies in different parts of the country in the nearest future. Each academy will be structured and designed with the most improved qualities with an artificial and natural football turf, swimming pool, gymnasium, mess & hostel facilities, schooling facilities building a supreme set up for a residential football training program. 

Under Praful Patel profile, AIFF is taking giant strides both in terms of domestic and international tournaments. It is due to this reason AIFF is strongly focusing on the Youth Development Program (YDP) which will help the team to become even more competitive.
