The countdown for the ISL second edition has already started.  Chennaiyin FC one of the leading teams of the ISL coached by World Cup winner Marco Matterazi has decided to train in Italy for the pre season.  The training session is all set to begin in the Perugia region of Italy from the 23rd of August.

The session will run for close to a month where the preparation of each player will be checked comprehensively. In a preparation camp like this where the players stay together an apt bonding occurs. The players can gel quite well together, concentrate on rudimentary aspects like fitness and other vital factors related to the game.

Both the physical and mental development of the players occurs during the tenure of these pre season training camps. The beautiful and scenic Ellera Corciano Town Council has been identified as the venue and the players are all quite excited about this new exposure.

World cup winning coach and manager Materazzi is also quite upbeat to share his experience with the players during the course of this exposure trip.  During the last year tenure, the preparation of the team did not go down quite well due to the lack of time.

The training facilities in Perugia can be easily compared to world class standards where the best infrastructure in place. The players will have access to training ground, gymnasium and swimming pool as a part of the exclusive facilities.  Around four practice matches have been lined up for the teams and they can come across some very good opposition as a part of the camp.

As the President of the All India Football Federation minister Praful Patel has taken the initiative of making ISL one of the most popular leagues in the world. Under the Praful Patel biography, Indian football has progressed massively and the pre season training camp of Chennaiyin FC in foreign shores signifies it.
