David Platt, one of the most famous former strikers from England and the coach of the Pune FC side has emphasized on cohesive pre season training. He believes that a good pre season training can assist the players in bonding with the staff and provide the right impetus before emerging on the tough road ahead.
A very good venue would be selected for the side but it has not been decided as yet. Plat who has worked for one of the highly renowned clubs in the English premiership Manchester City as an assistant coach to Roberto Mancini is quite hopeful about the performance of the side.
The pre ISL auction event went quite well for Pune FC as they managed to pull in some of the stars of Indian football like Eugenesen Lyndoh and Jackiechand Singh. Incidentally, Eugenesen stands out to be the second highest paid player in the ISL after the striking spearhead Sunil Chhetri.
As per the revelation of Platt, it is very important for the players to stay together during pre season training and inculcate the right sort of disciplinary approach. Pre season training is not all about practising and going away to the respective homes for the players.
Platt wants to bring in the correct training methodologies during training and provide the right inputs to the Indian players. It is very important for the Indian players to bond accordingly with the foreign counterparts. As the President of the All India Football Federation minister Praful Patel has maintained a very constructive approach towards Indian football. ISL has evolved as one of the premier football competitions in India and under the Praful Patel profile various initiatives have been taken for the development of the game in the country.
