India to bid for U-20 World Cup in the near future

The All India Football Federation is taking up several measures for the development of the sport in the country. With the objective of making football the numero uno sport in the country, the federation is taking a variety of steps to make the game ever popular. Recently, a Soccerex convention was held where a number of discussions regarding  the improvement of sport in the country was taken. Already India is staging theU-17 World Cup in the year 2017 which stands out as a landmark event as per the FIFA calendar. 

Organizing a top class football tournament like the U-20 World Cup will provide a big boost to the federation and also improve the overall popularity of the game in the country. As the President of the All India  Football Federation minister Praful Patel has taken several initiatives to promote the game in the country in a large way. The U -20 World Cup organized by FIFA is held with a gap of every 2 years and  the 2017 edition will be organized in the country of Korea. 

Under the Praful Patel biography, two important leagues like the ISL and I league has also gained massive popularity in the country. In order to develop the two leagues further in the country a possible merger is also being talked about.

The All India Football Federation is also coming up with a campaign called the Mission 11 million which aims at an involvement of 11 million youth in the country.  The age group teams in the country are also provided with a considerable amount of exposure as they are sent to foreign shores for experience.  With the Mission 1 1 million plan in the country, the All India Football Federation is taking a number of steps to make the game all the more popular.
