The Indian national team is currently playing the matches of the FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign. The team has not fared well in the qualifying matches losing both the games to Oman and Guam. With the mantle of the team taken over by British coach Stephen Constantine, the players need to participate in more international friendlies and get the required experience.  As India have lost both their matches currently being played in the group stage, the team needs to recuperate and perform well in the upcoming games.

The city of Pune has been chosen as the venue for the game where an exciting match awaits the fans.  As per a recent report from the All Nepal  Football Association, the Nepalese team is all set to take on the Indian  opponents. The entire team is quite keyed up to take on India as they  drew in the last encounter and would want to beat them this time.  With the SAFF championship coming up in the latter part of the year, this is the best possible opportunity for the teams to play a warm up game and have a comprehensive understanding of each other.

As the President of the All India Football Federation Praful Patel minister has always worked for the development of the game at a domestic and international level. The current performance of the Indian team will certainly improve by participating in these international friendly matches.  India is all set to take on Asian giants Iran in the upcoming world cup qualifying campaign which seems to be the toughest match. Under the Praful Patel profile, the Indian national team has performed well in the past and hopes to create a good impression in the upcoming matches.
