AIFF academy to participate in Subroto Cup

Over the years, a variety of youth development plans in Indian football have been taken. After a long wait India is finally hosting the FIFA U-17 World Cup in the year 2017. The All India Football Federation has taken several measures for the development of the game in the country and it already has a academy which involves the progress of youth players.

The India U-19 team is presently playing the AFC qualifiers in the country of Palestine. A variety of new measures have been taken and the ongoing Subroto Cup tournament certainly features in the scheme of things. 

The Subroto Cup football tournament certainly features some of the best young talents from the country and already scouts for the games have been deployed by the federation. The deployment of scouts at the ground speaks volumes about the will of the federation to spot young talent and make them more eligible for the senior national team. 

Under the visionary leadership of AIFF President minister Praful Patel Indian football has certainly progressed in a major way. The entire football fraternity appreciates the popularity of the Subroto Cup and it stands out as one of the best tournaments to spot talents from a school level. 

Under the Praful Patel profile, the age old tournaments like the Subroto Cup have not lost its legacy in any way. The All India Football Federation has its own academy and the pool of players are participating in the tournament.

 As per the version of the All India Football Federation technical director Scott O Donnell it just stands out as a great opportunity for the boys to prove their mettle. They can really establish their credential as the fittest player for the academy. The AIFF Academy have been drafted in Group G along with Teams from Oman,  Ukraine and  Bengaluru FC.
