Indian football raises high hopes in Kashmir

The All India Football Federation has taken several measures to develop the game in the country. The Kashmir valley portrays a very high potential as far as the development of football is concerned. There is quite a bit of talent among the footballers who possess ample capacity to come into national contention.

 Already some of the previous stars of Indian football have hailed from Kashmir and performed well in both domestic and international tournaments. Over the years Indian football has crossed the necessary barriers as the ISL and the I league have gained prominence as two of the most recognized tournaments. 

Recently, the picturesque valley of Kashmir hosted the 2nd Division I league match where the home team Lonestar FC participated. There is a tremendous amount of interest revolving around football in the Kashmir valley as around 15,000 spectators thronged the stadium. 

In the stadium, some of the stalwarts of Indian football were present. Abdul Majid is one of the recognized names in Indian football and he is quite happy with the progress of football in the Kashmir valley. But a lot more still needs to achieved and the All India Football Federation is already working on it.

Under the guidance of the President of the All India Football Federation minister Praful Patel, the young and fresh footballers from Kashmir will certainly get an equal platform to prove themselves. The Federation has always backed the state association from Kashmir and provided the necessary support.

The 2nd Division I league is also highly competitive and has teams participating from different parts of the country. The home and away match basis evaluation is quite good and keeps the players in competitive edge. Under the Praful Patel biography, expansion of the game in the state is happening quite fast.
