Indian Football is about to experience a new era and is to be ushered with the new flow of development. Recent proceedings in the All India Football Federation (AIFF) will determine the creation of the roadmap of the development of the sport in India. Several substantial measures are being taken which are meant for an all pervasive progress of the game.

The feeling of glory also doubled with the recent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between AIFF and Japan Football Federation (JFF). This is an initiative taken to intensify the cooperation of football and to strengthen the relationship between the two countries and the governing body. AIFF President Praful Patel signed the dotted lines of the agreement and expressed his gratitude and delight to the Japanese delegates along with JFF President Daini Kunia.

Praful Patel profile remains to be an integral aspect of the entire proceedings. The agreement not only focused on the development of the game but also on the exchange of ideas, knowledge, technical skills and best practices. Clauses have been incorporated pertaining to the development of the game in terms of Coach Education, Grassroots Programme and Women’s Football. Patel also stressed on hosting the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Annual Awards in India which will help the federation to demonstrate the range of development and initiatives taken for the sport in the country.

Patel also stressed on the importance of the grassroots programme and he said that a strong platform is to be built. He said that the first edition of Hero Indian Super League (ISL) has proved that there is a lot of potential talents in the country.
