With the results of 2018 World Cup coming out, it is a matter of discussion whether Indian team is going for an action this year. The upcoming match dates have been fixed which will start from India and Oman facing the biggest clash on the 11th of June and India hosting Turkmenistan on 29th March, 2015, as India will play eight matches as part of Round Two of the 2018 World Cup Pre-Qualifiers.
Indian Team has been clubbed into Group D of the Round Two of the Pre-Qualifiers for the World Cup 2018 along with Asian tycoons like Iran as well as Oman, Turkmenistan and Guam. There will be 40 teams who will be fighting for the top place in Asia, have been divided into eight groups of five teams each. The eight group winners and four best runners up will have a conjoined incentive due to which the 12 teams will not qualify for the final qualification round of the 2018 World Cup. They will be automatically inducted as the qualifying teams, partaking in the AFC Asian Cup, hosted by the United Arab Emirates (UAE), in 2019.
