It is a drive for professionalism in the Indian Camp. In the recently held AIFF Executive Committee, the federation is all set to implement a State Development Criteria which is similar to the licensing system in place for all the clubs.

The four-member committee consists of former India Captain Baichung Bhutia, AIFF Senior Vice President Subrata Dutta, General Secretary Kushal Das and I-League CEO Sunando Dhar.

Praful Patel profile in the meeting played the core role as he presided over the event. He further stated that AIFF will appoint five CEOs in five different zones for the next two years. These CEOs will look into the implementation of the developmental activities for the sport all around these five areas.

Baichung Bhutia also talks about this programme as he said that majority of the state associations are not good enough. There is a basic requirement like associations having proper state league of minimum eight teams along with age ground events. There is a need to meet the basic requirements like associations having a structured state league of minimum eight teams along with age group events. There is an essential need of CEO and it would pave the way for an ideal situation in these states.
